THURSDAY

Howdi all - well we went to Nottingham yesterday after work to go see Jack Savoretti - see my link in websites to his website. He is so good - his music is the nicest tunes I have heard in a long time and I just love to chill out and listen - unfortunately for me, I have to listen to Roy trying to play the guitar like Jack too... however, Roy is good and has picked it up really well - I just wished Roy looked like him ;0). Jack is just a young twenty something tho... He is going to America soon - to LA... I think he is gonna try and crack it over there for a bit - but he is coming back to England to do a mini tour - and we have just bought tickets to see him in Manchester - So really really looking forward to that. Taylor will stay over a nannas - she loves it!

I've been to see my friend Di this morning and her little 6 month old daughter Amelia - so cute. I can't remember when Taylor was that tiny!! It was lovely to catch up with her cos I last saw her before Christmas when Amelia was just a few weeks old.

Well I am sat here, Taylor is watching Peppa Pig and it is pouring down with rain outside. I just hope that the roof ain't leaking!!

Catch up soon.

Monday 24 March 2008

It snowed on Easter Sunday.... which was fab - Taylor was so pleased - she and her daddy made their first snowman. And then they threw snowballs at each other - it was very cute.
We didn't do much else - except sit around and pig out on chocolate.
Easter Monday and Taylor and I went swimming - which we both thoroughly enjoyed. We went to Asda and purchased a bubble machine, however, it was far too windy for it and the bubbles were blowing away before we could catch em!! LOL.
Taylor has been rather poorly today though... really struggling to eat as she has her final four teeth coming and they are really really hurting her. THe disappointment on her face every time she tried to eat a Chocolate Button was disheartening to watch. Bless her!!! She managed some jelly and squirty cream which she shared on the sofa with her wonderfully slim (NOT) mummy!! Back on diet tomorrow.

EASTER

Happy Easter.

Its good Friday, and supposedly the start of Spring. Only wish it felt like it outside. Its freezing cold and the snow is on its way... still I have my easter egg and my little cherub to keep me warm.

Yesterday I hosted a wee Easter lunch for 6 crazy children and my house was a mess!! however, nothing to complain about really, they were all as good as gold. HOwever, there was far too much chocolate left and I'm just gonna have to eat it all....

Went to weight watchers and weight stayed the same, so for 3 weeks now I have been 12 stone 2lbs. It will come off... I just have to knuckle down and write everything down - I keep forgetting to write it - and saying 'oh just another marshmallow won't hurt' is just not good enough. There, I have told myself off now.

We are going to Louth tomorrow (weather permitting) to visit Nanna and Grandad (ma and pa) and have some easter goodies. Don't worry, I'll count it. Sunday I might have to make a trip to the gym and get working off the excess choccie... Bye for now :-)

COMPETITIVE MUM SYNDROMe

I think I might have it.... T had her Easter Bonnett competition today and I was so praying that we had won! I say WE cos I put most of the effort in - albeit T made the flowers out of tissue paper... and ended up with them glued to her head at the same time. Once I get the bonnet back I will post a pickie on here. Needless to say,we didn't win,, but still T received a little egg and a duck gingerbread biscuit - she shared it with her mommy, but then cried when I bit its beak off! Ha ha... evil mommy.

Feeling content now however, just won some Doodles off ebay for Taylor in the summer. So I have won something today! YAY

MORNING OFF

This morning I have off to do what I please... I don't have much to do? Gonna go to the gym in a bit.. I've cycled to nursery this morning to drop Taylor off and then cycled home again, so I've done some exercise. Its darn cold out there, so I am very brave!!! LOL.

Might have a tidy up as having a get together with all Taylor's wee friends on Thursday... however, once they all bombard me, then the house will be a state again, so not really too concerned....

We've got lots of nice chocolate things, after all its Easter and we are having an Easter Lunch. And I might do a wee Easter Egg hunt and hide them all in various spots around the house... (along with the spiders!).

Right, off to watch a bit of telly, have a coffee and then think about packing a bag for the gym and a swim....

FANNYING

I love the word - Fannying.... I think it means messing about, getting things in a muddle and basically doing stuff for absolutely no reason - I think I probably use this word on average twice a day!!! And now I realise other people use this too.... great word, not sure if its made it in the dictionary yet.

THIS IS ME

My name is Rachel. I am 35 and have a two year old daughter (Taylor) and a 46 year old partner (Roy). We have been together nearly 10 years and live in Lincoln.

We both work for Local Government, I work part-time and my other half works full time for the Highways Department.

Our spare time is spent with our beatiful daughter Taylor, Roy also plays the guitar and I like to play the piano (badly) and make jewellry.
